I'm still here
So, it’s been over a month without anything posted. Finding a place to live in San Francisco is bar none the most stressful thing I’ve ever done in my entire life, and is the reason why I’m still living out of a hotel. (Seriously, if you have a place for me to crash, email me)
At any rate, I found this on Flickr and thought I’d share:
Stay tuned for some interesting stuff on the Rails front, it’s been a very productive month at CNET working on the new-and-improved Chowhound. Lots of caching, recursion, testing, and integration with a Java-powered search engine (gasp!).
We also have an interesting approach on how we think forum software should operate, and that’s why we’re rolling our own as opposed to using any existing application. Chowhound, as it stands, may use software that’s almost ten years old, but no one can deny the quality of the content on the site, and we have every intention of keeping it that way.
Dude sorry to hear you are having such a bad time finding a place to live. Good to hear the new gig is going well though!
